THANKSGIVING

1. In the first story ( ESL Thanksgiving Traditions)  we can read  an information much more detailed in which there are many important historical aspects about the pilgrims and the relationship with the tradition of thanksgiving. The second story, called Squanto Helped the Pilgrims, poses a reduced information about a specific figure ( Squanto) and his role in the history of thanksgiving.
The first one talks about Samoset who was an Abnaki Indian, and after it refers to Squanto. in the second story everything is about Squanto and his work with the pilgrims.
According to the second lecture, Squanto had learned English in Europe, but the first one specifies better that he learned it in England.

2. I think they are not different but one is more detailed than another. I mean, for example, the first one ( ESL) has more information about the historical event and the second ( Squanto) takes just one part of the event because it wants to focus just in the Squanto's role in relationship with the pilgrims.

3. Yes, we have several stories that we read, but really they are not true or more of their details never happened in the history. For example, we have the story about LA BATALLA DE BOYACA ( the Boyaca's battle) in Colombia. when you read it you can imagine a big and cruel battle, but according to historical events it wasn't too astonishing.

POLYCRONIC AND MONOCHRONIC

I consider myself as a polychron person for several reasons. First of all, because of the Latin culture in which I was born. Time is not the most important factor in terms of relationships, interaction with society, or development of activities. Second one, I like to do several things at the same time in order to advance much faster with my intellectual, social, and personal growing.
Also, punctuality is not relevant in my life, I prefer to attend the content of a meeting or class without take care the time.
As a polychron person, I have many distractions at the moment in which I am doing something, distractions like music, internet, social events, etc.
Finally, I would like to say that priority of things is very important to me, I mean, when I have a plan (in terms of having fun or relationships) but suddenly appear something much more important or relevant in my job or study, I change the plans and I focus in the priority.
I could say that sometimes I am monochron, like many people would say the same thing, but in the mostly part of my life the time does not enough relevance.
